Creature LabPlay

Effective August 30, 2026

Privacy

Creature Lab is designed to work without an account. This notice describes the current browser game at creaturelabs.net.

Your game data

Progress, settings, and playtest events are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB and local storage. They are not automatically sent to a Creature Lab account or cloud save.

Because browsers may clear site data automatically when device storage runs low, the game asks your browser to mark this data as persistent. This is a durability request only: it does not collect, change, or transmit any additional information. Your browser decides whether to grant it. You can still remove everything at any time by clearing site data for creaturelabs.net in your browser settings, or by uninstalling the installed app, and doing so deletes your saved progress permanently unless you have exported it first.

Exports and imports

Save and playtest exports are files created on your device. Import processing happens in your browser. You decide whether to keep, move, or share those files.

Website records

The hosting provider may process ordinary technical request information, such as IP address, browser details, requested pages, timestamps, and security logs, to deliver and protect the site. Creature Lab does not currently use advertising trackers or sell personal information.

Device features

The current game does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, or push-notification access. Installing the PWA uses browser and operating-system app features. The game may use short vibration feedback on devices that support it, and requests persistent storage for your saved progress, which some browsers present as a permission prompt.

Children

Creature Lab does not knowingly collect account information from children. A parent or guardian should supervise use where required.

Changes and contact

This policy will be updated before adding accounts, payments, analytics services, advertising, or other material data practices. Questions can be directed through the contact method published with the game.
